Report: Former LSU cornerback Denver Harris 'expected' to visit Texas A&M
According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, former LSU cornerback Denver Harris is “expected” to visit Texas A&M sometime this week. This would be quite the reunion as Harris began his career with the Aggies before leaving after one season.
Harris is a benefactor of players being allowed to transfer for a second time without a penalty. It will mark his second time going through the process in as many years. While at LSU, the defensive back played in five games while making three starts.
Texas A&M recently underwent a coaching change, potentially being the reason behind the duo looking to get back together. Newly hired Mike Elko was still in College Station during the 2022 recruiting cycle and was the defensive coordinator when Harris committed.
Never getting to play under Elko, Harris could have another opportunity if the expected visit goes well.
Harris played high school football at Galena Park (TX) North Shore, where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 23 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
