Duke running back Jaquez Moore enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Duke Blue Devils running back Jaquez Moore has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Jaquez Moore has been with the Blue Devils for three seasons, seeing significant playing time during each of those seasons and leaving him with one remaining season of eligibility. During his time with Duke, Moore carried the ball 186 times for 1,121 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has 11 career receptions for 145 career yards.
Jaquez Moore played high school football at Suwannee (FL), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,254 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Duke is in the process of going through a coaching change. Head coach Mike Elko left for Texas A&M and he is reportedly being replaced with Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz. It’s difficult to say if that’s why Moore is transferring. However, the change likely was something that he considered when making the decision.
