Eastern Washington WR transfer Freddie Roberson commits to Mississippi State
Mississippi State has landed the commitment of Eastern Washington wide receiver transfer Freddie Roberson. Roberson has one season of eligibility to play with the Bulldogs. Roberson announced his decision on Twitter on Sunday.
Roberson was a three-star in 2018 by the On3 consensus ranking. Roberson led Eastern Washington with 797 yards receiving and seven touchdowns this season. He had 141 receptions for 2,266 yards and 17 touchdowns in his EWU career. Roberson was a proven deep threat at the FCS level, averaging 16.1 yards per catch.
A three-year starter for the Eagles, Roberson earned all-league honors in each of those seasons: He was a second-team All-Big Sky pick in the 2021 spring season, then earned third-team accolades in the fall 2021 season and this season.
