Marshall DL Elijah Alston sets visits to Texas A&M, Georgia
Marshall transfer Elijah Alston has become one of the top defensive linemen still available in the transfer portal.
The third-team All-Sun Belt selection this season has one year of eligibility remaining and can play immediately. A source tells On3 that Alston has scheduled visits to Georgia and Boston College. He’s currently on campus at Texas A&M for an official visit. According to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings, he’s the No. 3 defensive lineman available.
The Marshall transfer tallied 45 total tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss in 13 games this season. He also posted six sacks and forced two fumbles. Alston returned an interception for 85 yards and a touchdown, too.
A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, the 6-foot-2, 256-pound lineman could fill a major role on the Texas A&M defensive front with Walter Nolen and Fadil Diggs transferring out. Georgia and Boston College are expected to host Alston later this week.
