Florida Atlantic WR Jymetre Hester, son of NFL legend Devin, enters transfer portal

Florida Atlantic wide receiver, and son of former NFL standout Devin Hester, Jymetre Hester has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Hester spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he hauled in 67 receptions for 1,011 yards and 12 touchdowns. After being regarded as one of the top Junior College prospects in the country he transferred to FAU ahead of the 2022 season.

In 2022 Hester recorded zero stats in his two game appearances for the Owls, and in the most recent 2023 season, he caught four passes for 18 yards, also logging a four-yard punt return.

Hester played high school football at Belle Glade (FL) Glades Central, a three-star prospect ranked the No. 28 overall recruit in the 2021 Junior College cycle, according to the On3 Junior College Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
