Florida Gators defensive back Jadarrius Perkins announced that he is committing to transfer to the Toledo Rockets.

Jadarrius Perkins spent three seasons at Florida, but only played in one game during the 2023 season. Prior to that, he spent two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast, a JUCO, before transferring to Missouri and eventually Florida.

In his commitment post, Perkins wrote, “I dropped everything to go and chase my dreams…. they thought I was crazy.”

In three seasons at Florida, Perkins played in 20 total games. From his defensive back position, he made 40 total tackles. Three of his tackles were tackles for loss. He also had an interception during the 2023 season.

Jadarrius Perkins played high school football at Hattiesburg (MS), where he was a four-star prospect in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now, at Toledo, Perkins will look to help the Rockets win the MAC for the second time in three seasons.
