Florida linebacker Mannie Nunnery is back in the transfer portal once again, On3 has learned. He played four years at Houston, then joined the Gators for 2023, but will now seek another new home.

Nunnery was a steady and productive linebacker during his last couple years at Houston and performed well in Gainesville too. He totaled 28 tackles and a half-sack during the one year with UF, but was more productive in his final year at Houston in 2022 with 46 tackles.

In total, through five years at the college level, Nunnery has made at least one tackle every single season and broke the 100-mark this year to finish with 109 tackles for his career to date. Now, he’ll try to further add to that figure with likely another new team.

Born Robert Nunnery, “Mannie” was a less-heralded recruit out of Shadow Creek high school in Pearland, Texas, where he was a three-star recruit in the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also rated the No. 1,328 overall player and No. 174 prospect out of the Lone Star State in that cycle.
