Florida State transfer OL Thomas Shrader commits to Appalachian State
Former Florida State offensive lineman Thomas Shrader has committed to Appalachian State, via the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Shrader spent four seasons with the Seminoles. However, he still retains two seasons worth of eligibility, thanks to a redshirt and the pandemic-impacted season. He has seen limited action during games during his time with Florida State, though. Still, he has provided versatility and depth for the Seminoles over the years.
Florida State is coming off a phenomenal season, going 13-0 and winning the ACC Championship Game. Players like Shrader have helped turn that program around from some difficult years to where they are now, as one of the game’s premier programs.
Thomas Shrader played high school football at Venice (FL), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 590 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Shrader has twice been a Seminole Scholar. He has also been on the ACC Honor Roll on three different occasions.
