Florida transfer safety Kamari Wilson commits to Arizona State
Florida transfer safety Kamari Wilson committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday afternoon, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
“I loved their plan for me and I’m good friends with the quarterback as well,” Wilson told On3 when asked what stood out about Arizona State.
He only saw action in three games this season for the Gators, earning a redshirt. He also finished with one tackle against McNeese State. In 2022, Wilson played in all 13 games, starting at safety in two of them. He racked up 39 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.
Wilson ranked as the No. 47 player according to the 2022 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 3 safety and the No. 10 player in the state of Florida. Wilson was invited to the 2022 Under Armour All-American Game.
When he chose the Gators, he picked them over offers from Georgia, Alabama, and LSU, among others.
