Former Alabama DB Khyree Jackson visiting Oregon
With transfer season in full swing, prospects in the portal are fielding offers and taking visits to schools that could potentially be their new homes. Dan Lanning has already looked at some of those players, including earning a commitment from one former Alabama player, and may be on the hunt to poach another player from Nick Saban’s roster.
Per a new post on his Twitter page, former Alabama defensive back Khyree Jackson is on a visit to Eugene. It included a photo of Jackson alongside his parents and Lanning.
Jackson had played over the last two seasons for the Crimson Tide. He totaled 14 tackles and a pair of pass deflections over his seven games of action. However, he was suspended toward the end of this season, which is probably a decent indicator as to why he entered the transfer portal so soon after.
Jackson was the No. 2 CB and No. 5 overall player coming out of Dr. Henry Wise High School in the 2017 class per the On3 Consensus. Per On3’s Transfer Portal Rankings, Jackson is the No. 13 available CB and No. 104 overall player currently in the portal. If he were to commit to Oregon, he would be the second Alabama player to do so this cycle as Lanning already earned a commitment from wide receiver Traeshon Holden.

He was the No. 36 receiver in his class and the No. 19 overall player in the state of California, hailing from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne.
