Former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall cancels trip to Auburn
One of the top players in the 2023 transfer portal, former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall, has canceled his plans for the weekend. McCall was planning on taking an official visit to meet with Auburn University officials. However, according to On3’s Auburn insider Jeffrey Lee, those plans have changed.
A source close to the former Coastal Carolina quarterback shared the information with Lee that the trip to Auburn is being canceled. However, the individual did not reveal the reason for the cancellation.
On Monday, McCall announced his intentions to transfer from Coastal Carolina. He will be leaving the Chanticleers program after passing for 8,019 yards and 78 touchdowns with only eight interceptions. He did all of it while completing 70.4 percent of his passes. McCall also has rushed for 1,053 yards and 16 touchdowns. He still has two years of eligibility.
Despite McCall electing to cancel his trip, Auburn is said to be hosting the highest-ranked quarterback in the transfer portal. Devin Leary arrived in Auburn on Friday for an official visit, according to Auburn Live’s Keith Niebuhr.
