Former Florida TE Jonathan Odom commits to Eastern Michigan from the transfer portal
After four seasons in Gainesville, tight end Jonathan Odom has decided that his next home will be in Ypsilanti.
Odom, who chose to transfer from Florida following the opening of the portal window, announced his commitment to Eastern Michigan on Twitter on Friday.
Odom appeared in 25 games over his seasons down in The Swamp. He redshirted as a freshman back in 2020 and earned another redshirt for this season after playing in just four contests again.
In that time, he caught 16 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Odom played high school football at Jesuit (FL) where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 668 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as a Top-30 TE in his class and a Top-100 player out of Florida.
Per On3’s Portal Rankings, Odom was the No. 21 available tight end in the portal.
