Former Georgia wide receiver Yazeed Haynes has committed to Syracuse out of the transfer portal, he announced on social media on Saturday night. Haynes will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Haynes, a true freshman, played in four games in 2023 and had one catch for 20 yards. By playing in just the four games, he is eligible for a redshirt to preserve the year of eligibility.

He’s the second Georgia wideout to transfer to Syracuse and follow head coach Fran Brown to central New York. Former Bulldog wide receiver Jackson Meeks committed earlier in the week. They are some of the first transfer commitments as he tries to reshape the Orange roster both via the portal and on the high school recruiting trail.

Haynes played high school football at North Penn (Pa.) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 222 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
