Former Michigan State WR Tyrell Henry commits to Wisconsin
Former Michigan State wide receiver Tyrell Henry has committed to Wisconsin, he announced on social media on Friday. He will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.
After playing 11 games as a special teamer in 2022 as a true freshman, Henry showed immense flashes of talent in 2023 on a struggling Spartans team. He was one of a few bright spots, catching 24 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns, including a few highlight-reel grabs.
Henry also played on special teams again in 2023, returning kickoffs for the second-straight year and also serving as a primary punt returner for the Spartans. Adding a presence like Henry in the offensive picture will help the Badgers in the continued evolution to having a more pass-happy offense.
Henry played high school football at Roseville (Mich.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 817 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
