Former Mississippi State OL Steven Losoya transfers to Vanderbilt
Former Mississippi State offensive lineman Steven Losoya has committed to Vanderbilt, he announced Monday night via X.
Losoya spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career at Middle Tennessee State where he played in 20 games and started in 14, also earning a spot on the Conference-USA All-Freshman Team in 2020. He transferred to Mississippi State ahead of the 2022 season where he’s made 20 consecutive starts in the last two seasons, and will now be looking to take his veteran experience elsewhere for his final season of eligibility.
He played his high school football at Nashville (TN) Overton High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,040 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Losoya will join former Wyoming CB Kolbey Taylor and former TCU safety Randon Fontenette as the third player to join head coach Clark Lea’s 2023 transfer portal group during the winter portal window.
