Former Virginia Tech defensive back Armani Chatman commits to North Carolina. Chatman announced the ACC flip from Hokie to Tar Heel from his social media account.
The 5-foot-11 defensive back played a total of five seasons at Virginia Tech and exits the program as a graduate senior. During his time with the Hokies, he recorded 89 total tackles, 65 solo, had 20 passes defended, two interceptions, and one sack.
Chatman played high school football at Catholic High in Virginia Beach, VA, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 464 overall recruit in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Track transfer portal activity
The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.
