Georgia offensive lineman Chad Lindberg has entered the transfer portal as a grad transfer, On3 has learned.

The former four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class will be able to play immediately. After playing in a reserve role for most of his career with the Bulldogs, he played in 12 games on the offensive line this past season. The offensive tackle helped Georgia rank first in the SEC and seventh nationally in sacks allowed at .93 per game.

The Bulldogs also finished second in the SEC and fifth in the nation in total offense, averaging 496.5 yards. A top-200 recruit, Chad Lindberg picked Georgia over Notre Dame and Ohio State coming out of high school.

He is the 18th scholarship player from the 2023 Georgia roster to enter the transfer portal and the fourth offensive lineman, joining Joshua Miller, Aliou Bah and Austin Blaske. Lindberg earned First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2021. He combined to play in 10 games during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

“I have entered the transfer portal as a graduate with two years of eligibility. I am pursuing an MBA,” Lindberg wrote Sunday afternoon on social media.

The Bulldogs did not add any offensive linemen in the winter transfer portal window but could be on the market this spring. The 15-day spring portal window lasts from April 16 to April 30. Georgia picked up a star running back in December, adding Florida transfer Trevor Etienne. He’s expected to step in and be the main ball carrier for the Bulldogs, taking over for Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards.

Georgia starts spring practice on March 12 with its annual G-Day spring game scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
