Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Nyland Green has committed to transfer to the Purdue Boilermakers. He announced the move on social media.

A former top-50 recruit, Green has been with the Bulldogs for three seasons. He took a redshirt in 2021, before playing in 23 games between 2022 and 2023. During the time he’s been in Athens, Georgia has won two national championships.

“From the G to the P,” Green posted with a train emoji.

Green has 12 career tackles and 0.5 tackles for a loss. He also has two passes defended during his career.

Nyland Green played high school football at Newton (GA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 50 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Next season, the Big Ten is getting set to expand and move away from divisions. With the addition of players like Nyland Green, the Boilermakers are hoping to become a dark horse contender in the conference.
