Georgia Tech power forward Tyzhaun Claude enters NCAA Transfer Portal
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team had a few bright spots this past season under first-time head coach Damon Stoudemire. Next season, Georgia Tech will look to build on this year’s success and push for a spot in the 2025 NCAA March Madness men’s championship tournament, likely doing so without power forward Tyzhaun Claude.
On Monday, On3 learned that Claude entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in search of a home for next season.
Claude has been a journeyman through the first four years of his collegiate career, and that trend is likely to continue for year number five. He spent his first two years from 2019-22 at Morehead State. After his sophomore season with the Eagles, Claude transferred to Western Carolina for his junior year and then jumped back into the portal for a second time, landing at Georgia Tech for his senior season.
At Georgia Tech, Claude played in all 32 games and started in four. He would average 17.4 minutes per contest and connect it on 49 percent of his field goal attempts. Claude finished his senior campaign with the Yellow Jackets averaging 4.8 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 0.4 blocks per contest.
Another Georgia Tech player who recently hit the NCAA Transfer Portal is guard Amaree Abram. Abram informed On3 he was planning to enter the transfer portal, and proceeded to enter in later March.
