Georgia wide receiver Mekhi Mews has committed to Houston out of the NCAA transfer portal, he announced via his Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.

Mews spent the last two seasons suiting up for the Bulldogs, recording 15 catches for 164 yards and a touchdown. He showed some real potential upside in a crowded Georgia receiving room.

The talented wideout also doubled as a return man, even returning one punt 69 yards for a score.

Prior to enrolling at Georgia, Mews was a standout at Central Gwinnett High School. He was named a first-team All-Region receiver, while also earning first-team All-County honors. He was named the Region 8-AAAAAA Player of the Year, as well.
