Louisiana Tech QB Hank Bachmeier commits to Wake Forest

Louisiana Tech transfer quarterback Hank Bachmeier has committed to Wake Forest, he told ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Sunday. On3 confirmed with a source close to the quarterback that the sixth-year player has committed to the Demon Deacons.

The one-time Boise State starting quarterback, Bachmeier has thrown for 8,663 yards and 51 touchdowns in his career. He visited Vanderbilt earlier this week with his top wide receiver with the Bulldogs, Cyrus Allen.

Wake Forest was openly on the market for a transfer quarterback, with Mitch Griffiths entering the portal this past week. Ohio transfer quarterback Kurtis Rourke had been in touch with the staff. UNH quarterback Max Brosmer, who has since committed to Minnesota, also received an offer from the ACC school.

Bachmeier has now landed with the Demon Deacons.
