High Point guard Duke Miles enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Another big-time scorer in men’s college basketball this season is looking for a new home for the 2024-25 season. Junior guard Duke Miles at High Point University has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The six-foot-two Montgomery, AL native spent the first three years of his collegiate career in the Sunbelt Conference at Troy. Unfortunately, after his red-shirt sophomore season and 2022-23, during which he played in just six games with zero starts, he decided to enter the portal for the first time in his career. He left Troy with an average of 9.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals while averaging 23.1 minutes per contest in 49 appearances.

This past season at High Point, Miles would start in 27 of the 33 games he played in averaging 30.6 minutes on the floor a night. While he saw a significant increase throughout the majority of his stat line, the thing that will likely have college head coaches looking for a new guard in the transfer portal lining up to get a commitment from Miles would be his efficient scoring. In his junior year he shot 52.8 percent from the field while averaging 12.1 attempts a game. Miles also shot 36 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the cherry stripe.
Miles’s time at High Point ends with him averaging 17.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals a game.
