Houston LB Aaron Willis enters NCAA transfer portal
Houston linebacker Aaron Willis has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Willis previously transferred to the Cougars from Tennessee.
Willis played high school football at Life Christian Academy (VA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 133 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He finished his final recruiting cycle as the No. 17 linebacker in the nation.
He went on to play only one game for Tennessee during 2022 before hitting the portal last offseason. Willis went on to appear in two games during his short stint with the Cougars, piling up two tackles against Texas Tech and West Virginia, respectively.
He will have at least two years of eligibility remaining when he finds what will be his third program in three years.
Houston lost four of its last five games to end the season and finished at near bottom of the conference standings during the Cougars’ first season as a member of the Big 12 Conference.
