Alabama transfer wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks has committed to Louisville, he announced via social media. He entered the transfer portal last week after three years with the Crimson Tide.

Brooks took a visit to Louisville this week, On3’s Pete Nakos reported, after entering the portal Dec. 7. He only appeared in nine games this past season, hauling in three receptions for 30 yards, but put up big numbers in 2022 as one of Bryce Young’s top targets. He had 39 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago.

After entering the portal, Brooks came in as the No. 16-ranked wide receiver transfer this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Now, he’s taking his talents to Louisville, which recently got a commitment from former Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough as Jeff Brohm looks to keep momentum after an ACC Championship appearance in 2023.

Ja’Corey Brooks played high school football at IMG Academy (FL), where he was a five-star prospect. He was the No. 29 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
