Utah sophomore forward Jake Wahlin has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal after two seasons with Utes, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

The 6’10 big man is coming off a sophomore campaign where he averaged 6.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest while playing just over 23 minutes per game. Last month, he put together his first career double-double against Kansas, notching 10 points and 12 boards in the Utes’ 74-67 win.

However, Utah parted ways with head coach Craig Smith in February after four seasons where he failed to make the NCAA Tournament. Wahlin, who originally signed with BYU as part of the Class of 2021, spent two years on a mission trip before returning and ultimately choosing to play for Utah.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
