Vanderbilt transfer wide receiver Jayden McGowan has flipped his commitment from South Carolina, he announced via social media. On Friday, he committed to Boston College.

In 12 appearances in 2023, McGowan totaled 36 receptions for 383 yards while failing to find the end zone. They were solid numbers after a freshman campaign in which he recorded 44 receptions for 453 yards and three touchdowns with Vanderbilt.

After entering the portal, McGowan checked in as the No. 42-ranked wide receiver to transfer so far this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings. He initially committed to South Carolina on Dec. 13 following a visit to campus. Now, he is preparing to take his talents to the ACC at Boston College.

Jayden McGowan played high school football at Laurens District 55 (S.C.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 858 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
