Ole Miss, Texas expected to have South Carolina WR Juice Wells on campus

Juice Wells is expected to be on the road this weekend.

The South Carolina transfer wide receiver is expected to be on campus at Ole Miss and Texas this weekend, according to multiple sources. One of the top wide receiver threats in the SEC of 2022, he pulled in 68 catches for 928 yards in his first year in the league.

The 6-foot-1, 204-pound wideout dealt with injuries throughout this fall, playing in just two games and tallying three catches for 37 yards and a touchdown. The Rebels have emerged as a major player in his recruitment over the last 24 hours, along with Oregon.

While the Longhorns are preparing for their first appearance in the College Football Playoff, Steve Sarkisian is also making sure Texas has the wide receiver talent to compete in the SEC come next fall. One of Wells’ good friends is former Longhorn Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey, who transferred to Austin from James Madison.

Juice Wells started his collegiate career at James Madison, too, racking up 1,853 yards and 21 touchdowns in two seasons.
