Kurtis Rourke has emerged as one of the best quarterbacks at the Group of Five level in the past four years.

And now the Ohio University transfer is receiving his share of Power Four offers. An ACL injury cut his 2022 season short in November, but he still was named the 2022 MAC Offensive Player of the Year, throwing for 3,200 yards and 25 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Recovering from the injury this season, he recorded 2,207 passing yards and 11 touchdowns while only throwing five interceptions.

Indiana, Wake Forest, BYU and Vanderbilt have all contacted Rourke and made offers. The quarterback tells On3 he’s making plans to visit the Hoosiers and Demon Deacons. Both programs are in the market for a starting quarterback.

Indiana recently hired James Madison head coach Curt Cignetti. The Hoosiers have lost quarterbacks Brendan Sorsby and Dexter Williams II to the portal. Wake Forest is also looking for a starter; Mitch Griffiths entered the portal earlier this week. Rourke could provide a one-year stopgap for the Demon Deacons.
