B.J. Green did not make it to Washington this weekend, calling off the trip to Seattle, a source tells On3.

The Arizona State transfer committed to the Huskies in December, well before they played in the College Football Playoff. But with Kalen DeBoer leaving for the Alabama job, Green decided to reassess his decision and reopen his recruitment.

With one year of eligibility left, he can play immediately wherever he lands. Green visited Ole Miss last weekend and took a to Colorado this past week. Jedd Fisch and the new Washington staff were expected to make a pitch to the defensive lineman this weekend in Seattle but that was called off.

The Rebels missed out on the transfer defensive lineman the first time around, opting to take Tennessee transfer EDGE Tyler Baron, who has since flipped to Louisville. With an opening on the defensive line, the Rebels have made a push to get back involved with Green.

Deion Sanders has a preexisting relationship with the Arizona State transfer, coaching him in his youth. The 6-foot-1, 270-pound prospect from Prince Avenue Christian School (Ga.) just wrapped up his third season in Tempe. He tallied 39 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and a forced fumble this past season, picking up All-Pac 12 Second-Team honors. Green has posted 60 career tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.

Landing Arizona State’s sack leader would be a major pickup for the Buffaloes or Rebels. Colorado ranked in the bottom of the nation allowing 453.3 yards per game. Ole Miss has retooled its defense through the portal, adding plenty of big-time names including Texas A&M defensive lineman Walter Nolen.

B.J. Green will have to make a decision soon, so he can enroll at Colorado or Ole Miss in time to participate in spring practice.
