Toledo transfer running back Peny Boone has made his decision, he tells On3.

The Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year has committed to Louisville. A former Maryland transfer, the decision to leave Toledo comes after NCAA guidance released to schools that allows fall multi-time transfers to play immediately in 2024-25 without securing a waiver.

The running back ranked seventh nationally with 1,400 total rushing yards and 7.2 yards per carry this season. His 15 rushing touchdowns are in the top 10, plus Peny Boone tallied eight 100-plus yard games. He’s ranked as the No. 29 overall player in the portal, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings. It’s the 17th transfer portal commitment for the Cardinals, who have put together one of the top portal classes in the nation.
