Mizzou to host Memphis transfer OL Makylan Pounders

Memphis transfer offensive lineman Makylan Pounders has made plans to visit another SEC program, he tells On3.

With two years of eligibility remaining, Pounders spent this past week at Auburn with Hugh Freeze and offensive line coach Jake Thornton. Now he’s scheduled a trip to Mizzou for Jan. 5. The offensive tackle is also in the process of working through the logistics of visiting Mississippi State this coming weekend.

Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz recently made an in-home visit with Pounders. He’s also received offers from South Carolina and Texas Tech. He graded out at 70.2 in pass blocking this past season, according to Pro Football Focus. Makylan Pounders allowed just one sack in 400 snaps this year, with four hits and six hurries.
