Marshall DL Will Norman enters the NCAA transfer portal

Marshall defensive lineman Will Norman entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Norman started his career at Florida last season but transferred to Marshall. However, he decided to re-enter the portal after the Thundering Herd’s spring session.
Norman logged just one tackle during his time at Florida, playing in one game for the Gators.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Norman was a four-star recruit out of Camden (N.J.) Eastside, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
The process of entering the portal is done through a school’s compliance office. Once a player provides written notification of an intent to transfer, the office enters the player’s name in the database and everything is off and running. The compliance office has 48 hours to comply with the player’s request and that request cannot be refused.

Will Norman hits the transfer portal
While Norman is on the move again, Florida head coach Billy Napier raved about the Gators defense after their second scrimmage.
“I think there’s been days where you walk off the field and you’re like ‘man we tackled well, the rush and the coverage was working together, we’ve got more depth, there’s more competition, the effort, speed,'” Napier said.
“Overall I think the new staff paired with some experienced and a handful of new players, we feel like we’re improving. Thursday the offense dominated the practice. So I think today was a little bit of a reset button, ‘hey look, let’s get our act together’. I think they showed up and did that.”
