Memphis OL transfer Davion Carter commits to Texas Tech

Former Memphis offensive lineman Davion Carter has announced a commitment after entering the transfer portal. According to his twitter account, Carter will play Texas Tech next season.

He was the Tigers’ starting right guard this season after making 11 starts the year prior, earning Fourth-Team Preseason All-AAC honors from Phil Steele as he seeks a new home for his final season of eligibility.

Davion Carter played high school football at Pearl in Mississippi, where he was a three-star prospect in the 2020 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also the No. 70 overall recruit and the No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the country for his cycle.
