Michigan transfer guard Dug McDaniel to visit TCU
Dug McDaniel has been in the transfer portal for over a week now as he looks for a new program. Now, he will make his first move in his process with a visit to go to Fort Worth this weekend.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, McDaniel will be taking a visit to TCU during the upcoming weekend.
McDaniel entered his name into the portal on the first day of the cycle after two seasons at Michigan.
McDaniel averaged a dozen points, 4.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals over 60 games, including 52 starts, the past two years for the Wolverines.
That included this past year in his sophomore season as a top contributor for Michigan. He nearly doubled his scoring at 16.3 points along with averages of 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals. All three were team-highs for the maize & blue in a season where they went 8-24.
McDaniel played high school basketball at Paul VI Catholic in Virginia. He was a four-star prospect and the No. 85 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He rated as the No. 12 PG in the class and the No. 4 player out of his state.
