Missouri has gone to the transfer portal to bring in more help for its defense. The Tigers have landed a commitment from former Miami linebacker Corey Flagg Jr., he announced on social media Thursday.

Flagg had an excellent year for the Hurricanes in 2023, playing in every game, while finishing fourth on the team in tackles.

He recorded 48 tackles, including seven tackles for loss this season, and helped Miami reach the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl. The Hurricanes will face Rutgers on Dec. 28 at 2:15 p.m.

Corey Flagg Jr. is joining a Missouri defense that allowed 22 points and 347 yards per game this season.

The Tigers are set to face Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29.

Flagg signed with Miami in the class of 2020. He was ranked as a three-star recruit and the No. 674 overall player in the country coming out of high school, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

Flagg just finished up his junior season. He was ranked as the No. 8 linebacker in the portal, according to the On3 Industry transfer portal rankings.
