Florida State, Louisville set to host Purdue EDGE Nic Scourton
Nic Scourton officially entered the transfer portal on Thursday afternoon. He’s now getting his official visit schedule in order.
The Purdue EDGE led the Big Ten in sacks this season with 10 sacks. Talking with On3 on the phone Thursday, he said his phone has been going off all afternoon. Every school in Texas has expressed interest, too.
Scourton has already made plans for two visits, too. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound pass rusher said he will visit Florida State on Jan. 3 before visiting Louisville on Jan. 4. With two years of eligibility remaining, he’ll be able to play immediately in 2024.
Nic Scourton finished with 50 total tackles, 33 solo tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, three pass deflections and one forced fumble this season. Now he’s become one of the top names in the transfer portal, ranking as the No. 4 available player in the portal.
The former four-star recruit said he plans to “soak it all in” and make the “best decision” for his future.
