Norfolk State guard Jamarii Thomas enters NCAA transfer portal

Norfolk State guard Jamarii Thomas has entered the NCAA transfer portal. It will be his second transfer in as many seasons after he began his career a UNC-Wilmington in 2021-22.
Thomas started 30 of 33 games for the Spartans and led the team with 16.9 points, 3.8 steals and 2.1 steals this past season. He was named the MEAC Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year after helping Norfolk State to a regular season conference title. Unfortunately, it would go on to lose in the MEAC Tournament and miss out on the NCAA Tournament.

Thomas shot a career-high 38% from 3-point percentage this season and will certainly be highly sought after thanks to his scoring ability. This past season was his first time reaching double figures after putting up 7.1 points per game across 34 contests as a sophomore at UNC-Wilmington.
Thomas led his high school team to a state championship at The Burlington School in North Carolina as a senior. He scored 28 points in the title game to lead his team to victory.
