North Carolina linebacker Sebastian Cheeks commits to transfer to Wisconsin
North Carolina Tar Heels linebacker Sebastian Cheeks announced his commitment to transfer to the Wisconsin Badgers. He made the announcement on Instagram.
Cheeks has been with the Tar Heels since 2022. However, he has only played sparingly during his career to this point. He appeared in three games as a freshman before suffering an injury and using a redshirt for the season. Then, in his second season, he appeared in eight games for North Carolina.
In 11 career games, Sebastian Cheeks has four career total tackles. He has three more seasons of eligibility remaining.
Sebastian Cheeks played high school football at Evanston (Ill.) Township, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 134 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Wisconsin went 7-5 in head coach Luke Fickell‘s first season in Madison. The program hopes to build on that as the Big Ten expands to 18 schools and changes its scheduling format moving into the 2024 season and beyond.
