Scott has taken significant steps forward every season. In his freshman campaign, Scott averaged 4.0 points per contest while connecting on 26.1% of his attempts from 3-point range. Last season, Scott averaged 7.0 points per game.

North Texas finished with a 19-15 record this season and landed at seventh in Conference USA’s final standings. The team’s season ultimately ended on a 72-58 loss to Seton Hall in the second round of the NIT.

In the loss, Scott recorded four points, six rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes. Scott’s best game of the season came in the Mean Green’s season-opener against Northern Illinois. He erupted for a season-high 26 points and eight rebounds while shooting 4-7 from downtown.

In three years with North Texas, Scott boosted the team to a regular season conference title and a CUSA Tournament championship. He will now look to take his talents elsewhere.

Aaron Scott played high school basketball at Legacy the School of Sport Sciences (TX), where he was an unranked prospect in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
