Ohio State safety Cameron Martinez commits to Boston College
Former Ohio State safety Cameron Martinez has chosen his new school. Martinez has committed to Boston College after spending four seasons with the Buckeyes.
Martinez will be reunited with a familiar face at BC. He committed to Ohio State when Jeff Hafley was the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for the Buckeyes. Hafley is now the head coach at Boston College.
Cameron Martinez appeared in three games this season, finishing with a pair of tackles. In 2022, he appeared in all 13 games, recording 15 tackles.
Martinez signed with Ohio State as a four-star recruit and the No. 302 overall player in the country in the class of 2020, according to the On3 Industry rankings.
Prior to coming to Ohio State, Martinez attended Muskegon High in Muskegon, Michigan.
He is joining a Boston College program that went 6-6 this season and is set to play SMU in the Fenway Bowl on Dec. 28. Meanwhile Ohio State is playing Missouri in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29.
