Oklahoma State transfer QB Gunnar Gundy commits to Ohio Bobcats
Oklahoma State transfer quarterback Gunnar Gundy recently entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in search of a new home. On Friday, he officially found it and committed to the Ohio Bobcats. Gundy announced the move on his Twitter page.
Gundy is the son of Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
In three seasons with the Cowboys, Gundy was never the primary starter but did see some decent action in both 2022 and 2023. He appeared in four games in ’22 with 19 completions on 39 pass attempts, resulting in 247 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions. He then played in three games this fall and converted 21 of 34 passes for 202 yards, one touchdowns and no picks — better numbers the second time around.
Unsurprisingly, Gundy played high school nearby the Oklahoma State campus at Stillwater High School, where he was an unranked recruit out of high school. Now, he’ll venture outside of the Stillwater city limits to try his hand at a new school after flashing some talent as a backup this fall.
