Sutton scored 20 or more points in 10 of Omaha’s final 11 games in league play and scored a career-high 36 on Feb. 22 in a win over South Dakota to clinch a share of the regular season title. In total, Sutton made 99 appearances at Omaha, starting in each game.

Sutton would be an excellent addition for LSU. The Tigers struggled this season, posting a 14-17 overall record and a 3-15 mark in conference play, the second-worst in the SEC. With his fourth season ahead, LSU head coach Matt McMahon will need to revamp his roster this offseason.
Of course, Nebraska will also be eager to Sutton to its roster. After reaching the NCAA Tournament last season, the Cornhuskers didn’t even qualify for the Big Ten Tournament this season. It’ll be imperative for Huskers head coach Fred Hoiberg to generate excitement around the program this offseason.
Texas and Kansas State are also reportedly in the hunt for Marquel Sutton. Kansas State hosted the coveted forward on March 30.
