Oregon State defensive back Jermod McCoy enters the NCAA Transfer Portal
Oregon State Beavers defensive back Jermod McCoy has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Jermod McCoy only played one season for the Beavers. However, it was a promising freshman season. McCoy saw action in 11 regular season games for Oregon State. He had 31 total tackles, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery this season.
Jermod McCoy played high school football at Whitehouse (TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,474 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith left for the Michigan State job at the end of the season. Because of that, there is an assumption that at least some of the players transferring out of Oregon State could be following Smith. To this point, the most notable Beaver to enter the transfer portal is DJ Uiagalelei. However, not everyone is going to be going to Michigan State and there are many factors for transfer players to consider in this move.
