Oregon State QB Aidan Chiles enters NCAA transfer portal
Oregon State quarterback Aidan Chiles has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 learned.
Chiles is the second notable quarterback to announce his transfer from the Beavers’ program ever since news broke of former head coach Jonathan Smith’s departure for Michigan State and joins former OSU QB1 DJ Uiagalelei in the portal. In the short time he was allowed on the field, Chiles proved his worth by throwing for 309 yards and four touchdowns across the season to go with three more scoring plays on the ground.
His most impressive performance of the season came less than a month before his announcement — completing five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown while also carrying the ball four times for 29 yards and an additional score.
He played his high school football at Downey (CA) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 160 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
