Oregon State transfer DB Jermod McCoy receiving heavy interest from multiple top programs
Former Oregon State Beavers defensive back Jermod McCoy has received a tremendous amount of interest since entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.
According to McCoy’s profile on X (formerly known as Twitter), he’s received offers from Washington, Oregon, SMU, Michigan State, Utah, Louisville, Houston, TCU, Texas Tech, Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas, USC, Colorado, West Virginia, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
McCoy only played one season for the Beavers, but it was a promising freshman season. The former Oregon State defensive back saw action in 11 regular season games for the Pac-12 program. He had 31 total tackles, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery this season.
Additionally, McCoy played high school football at Whitehouse (TX), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,474 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
We’ll see which team is able to land Jermod McCoy, but it’s evident the battle for his services will continue to rage on.
