Oregon State guard Jordan Pope has set up a pair of visits to the Lone Star state, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton.

Pope, who is rated as a four-star prospect with a 92 grade out of the NCAA transfer portal, will visit Texas on Tuesday and Texas A&M on Thursday as he seeks a new home.

Michigan has also been in touch with Jordan Pope regarding a potential transfer.

Pope led the charge for Oregon State this year, averaging a team-high 17.1 points and 3.4 assists. He also shot 45.1% from the floor, including 37.1% from three-point distance, as the Beavers went 13-19 overall this year.

It was a solid leap from a freshman season in which he averaged 12.6 points.

Jordan Pope played high school basketball at Prolific Prep (Calif.), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 190 overall player from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Sam Alexis commits to Florida

One of the best big men in the NCAA transfer portal found a new home on Saturday morning, with Chattanooga’s Sam Alexis committing to Florida.

Alexis chose Todd Golden and the Gators over Xavier, Mississippi State, Providence, and Georgia.

“I committed (to Florida) because it was a great fit and has always been a dream to come play for the Gators growing up. Honestly I’m a UCF guy but the Gators have always been second and it felt like home and I love Coach Golden and the staff.”

The 6-foot-9 high-upside sophomore averaged 10.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game this season for the Mocs. He also blocked 70 shots, earning All-Defense honors.

Alexis is currently ranked as the No. 29 overall player in the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings.
