Oregon transfer LB Jaden Navarrette commits to UNLV Rebels
Oregon linebacker Jaden Navarrette officially found a home in the transfer portal on Thursday afternoon. He committed to the UNLV Rebels and announced the move on his Instagram page. Navarrette battled injuries throughout his career with the Ducks and appeared in just one game over three seasons, playing just two snaps against Stony Brook in 2021.
Navarrette played high school football at Norco (CA) Norco, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 325 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
The UNLV Rebels were one of the top teams in the Mountain West Conference in the 2023 campaign. They finished with an overall record of 9-5, losing in the Mountain West Conference title game to Boise State, 44-20. They also lost in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl to the Kansas Jayhawks, 49-36.
The Rebels unfortunately lost their quarterback this offseason, Jayden Maiava, to the transfer portal. He recently flipped his commitment to the USC Trojans.
