TCU quarterback transfer Chandler Morris commits to North Texas
TCU quarterback transfer Chandler Morris has committed to North Texas, he announced on Saturday evening. This will mark the third program Morris has played for, beginning his college career with the Oklahoma Sooners.
Morris has been named the TCU starter to begin the past two seasons but injuries have derailed his opportunity to stay on the field. The story of Max Duggan taking over is well known, taking the Horned Frogs to the national championship. Josh Hoover was the replacement this season, playing in 10 games.
North Texas is heading into the program’s second season under the guide of head coach Eric Morris, finishing with a 5-7 record. Chandler Rogers served as the starting quarterback but he just finished up his fifth season in college football.
Chandler Morris has played in 15 games throughout his career, throwing for 2,394 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Making a move just a few miles northeast to Denton, an opportunity should be waiting for the quarterback with the Mean Green.
