According to Rivals’ Adam Friedman, Ohio State transfer quarterback Kyle McCord has scheduled a visit to Syracuse this weekend. Multiple schools have been in the running for McCord over the past few days and the Orange now have an opportunity to impress.

McCord had a great season from a statistical standpoint, completing 65.8% of his passes for 3170 yards, 24 touchdowns, and throwing just 6 interceptions. Those numbers are with one of the best groups of receivers in all of college football but McCord would still be a valuable addition to a program out there.

Nebraska was thought to have a ton of momentum with McCord but On3’s Pete Nakos recently reported the two sides were moving on. Options have remained open throughout the entire process and Syracuse emerges as a serious one with a visit coming to fruition.

The On3 Industry 2024 transfer portal rankings currently have McCord ranked as the No. 22 player to enter this cycle. Have is the No. 7 quarterback as well but a few of him have already committed. It’s no doubt that McCord is one of the best players currently available on the open market.
