Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins visits Ohio State
Ole Miss transfer running back Quinshon Judkins visited Ohio State on Sunday, a source confirms to On3.
One of the nation’s top backs, the 2022 Freshman All-America selection is the first player since Herschel Walker to score more than 15 total touchdowns in his first two collegiate seasons. Judkins shared on X that he was in Columbus late Sunday night. A source confirmed with On3 that he spent time at Ohio State.
Judkins finished the 2023 by breaking the 1,000-yard mark for the second time in his two-year college career. He rushed for 1,158 yards and 16 touchdowns on 271 carries. While Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson has yet to decide on the NFL draft, pairing the two dynamic backs together would make for an explosive rushing attack.
While there has been a thought that Quinshon Judkins wants to be the top back in a system, putting the Ole Miss transfer in the same room as Henderson would allow for both to get quality reps but limit over-usage. The Buckeyes also have redshirt freshman Dallan Hayden returning. The former four-star prospect rushed for 553 yards on 111 carries and five touchdowns in 2022.
Ohio State is coming off an 11-12 season, its lone regular season loss coming to Michigan. The Buckeyes will be expected to challenge for a berth in the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.
